
IDY 2025: Yoga Sangam Registrations Soar Past 50,000 Mark
NEW DELHI (IANS) -More than 50,000 organizations across India have signed up to host Yoga Sangam sessions on June 21, as part of the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations, the Ministry of Ayush said.
The main Yoga Sangam event will be held under the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’. This year’s observance is expected to span over one lakh locations, ranging from school grounds and office lawns to railway stations and heritage temple courtyards.
Rajasthan leads in registrations with over 11,000 participating organizations, followed by Telangana with more than 7,000 and Madhya Pradesh with nearly 5,000, the Ministry said.
Institutions such as IITs, IIMs, and Central Universities are among the confirmed hosts, along with various corporate and private sector participants. Public figures including actors Anupam Kher, Manoj Joshi, Shilpa Shetty, and Rakul Preet have also expressed support for the event.
