WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Indian American Impact Fund has unveiled its latest endorsements for the 2025 election cycle, backing candidates in key local and statewide races across the U.S.

Chintan Patel, the PAC’s executive director, underscored the importance of these elections, emphasizing their direct influence on communities. “The local and statewide elections happening across the country this year will shape not only our future but also our daily lives in profound ways,” he said.

The newly endorsed candidates include Mussab Ali for Jersey City Mayor, Dini Ajmani for Hoboken Mayor, Shashi Sinha for Rochester Mayor, Balvir Singh for New Jersey’s State House District 7, Ajmeri Hoque for Franklin County Municipal Court in Ohio, Aishwarya Balakrishna for Naperville Park District Commissioner in Illinois, and Anant Nambiar for Westchester County Legislator in New York.

This announcement follows Impact’s earlier endorsement of Ghazala Hashmi, currently running for Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor.

Since its founding in 2016, Impact has backed 198 candidates nationwide and mobilized over $20 million for campaigns, voter outreach, and policy advocacy. The organization credits these efforts with amplifying South Asian American voices in U.S. politics and driving meaningful change in communities across the country.
