INS Sudarshini Heads To New York After Baltimore Port Call
WASHINGTON, DC- Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sudarshini departed for New York on July 1 to participate in the SAIL4th 250 New York and SAIL Boston events.
The New York visit follows INS Sudarshini’s port call at Baltimore, where the ship hosted Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra and Maryland Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and the crew participated in the Baltimore City Parade as part of the Sail250 Maryland celebrations.
INS Sudarshini arrived in Baltimore on June 26 as part of its Lokayan 26 transoceanic expedition after sailing from Norfolk, Virginia, where it participated in the Sail250 Virginia celebrations from June 19 to 23, joining tall ships from around the world in the Parade of Sail and the City Crew Parade.
