Iran Email Hack Shows Kash Patel Owned Home In Baroda, Had HDFC Account
India-West News Desk
WASHINGTON, DC – A significant data breach involving Iran-linked hackers has exposed a trove of personal information from the private email inbox of FBI Director Kash Patel.
The Bureau has confirmed the hack, with spokesperson Ben Williamson stating that while necessary mitigation steps have been taken, the compromised data is historical and contains no classified government information. Among the notable revelations are several details connecting the 46-year-old Patel to his Indian heritage and personal history in Gujarat.
The Times of India noted that leaked documents reveal that Patel, whose family hails from the Anand district of Gujarat, maintained a Non-Resident External (NRE) account with HDFC Bank in Baroda as recently as 2013, where he also owned a home.
The digital trail also highlights a long-standing affinity for cigars and “Bollywood style” aesthetics, including a 2012 email titled “From Bombay with love” that featured Patel in a series of stylized photos.
Other images released in the hack document his past travels to Cuba and Haiti, showing him at historic locations like El Floridita in Havana and driving vintage cars.
Security experts suggest the release of such personal content is a calculated effort by foreign actors to make high-ranking officials feel personally vulnerable.

India West is just helping more hackers to find more information. Sleezy Journalism that could have simply stopped at: Kash Patel has a home and bank account in India.
What is the big deal. Here for the Iranians and anyone who wants to hack my accounts. Good luck walking into the home or trying to take over the land.
I am a citizen of USA for 34 plus years. I own the largest home in town, which in the 70s land cost more than many desired places in Mumbai. I also have two bank accounts that I operate and probably another two to four that I had 40 years ago and don’t know whatever happened to them, nor do I care to chase down the Rs 200o deposit. Also own agricultural lands that “by law” Amit Shah cannot buy and own as the Home Minister and PM Modi cannot own and buy as PM. Go figure. And a Provident Fund in a large company that was Rs. 76,000 in 1990. I must track that down. It must be Rs. 2 million by now.
