Iran Fires Missiles At US Targets With “Thank You India” Message

NEW DELHI – In a show of wartime diplomacy, the Iranian military has begun inscribing messages of gratitude onto the missiles launched during its latest aerial campaigns.
Visuals released by the Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai and state media outlets show personnel from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force using blue markers to write “Thank you to people of India” on the fuselages of long-range projectiles prior to deployment. This symbolic outreach, which also included similar messages to the populations of Pakistan, Spain, and Germany, occurred during the IRGC’s “Operation True Promise 4.”
According to Press TV, this 83rd wave of strikes targeted a series of American and Israeli military assets, including oil storage facilities and airbases such as Al-Dhafra and Al-Udeiri, utilizing a sophisticated mix of precision-strike systems and drones.
The decision to highlight India on the battlefield underscores a warm ties between Tehran and New Delhi with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who had earlier confirmed that Indian vessels are being granted safe passage through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. While ships linked to the United States and its allies face strict regional restrictions, Iran has categorized India as a “friendly” nation.
This strategic preference reflects a deeper level of cooperation that has allowed India to maintain its energy and trade security while other global powers face maritime blockades. But it also places India in an increasingly delicate diplomatic position as it balances the humanitarian sentiments of its population and its historical energy ties with Iran against its critical strategic partnerships with Israel and the United States.
Beyond high-level geopolitics, the messaging on the missiles appears deeply rooted in a surge of grassroots humanitarian support flowing from India to Iran. In recent weeks, donation drives have swept through parts of Jammu and Kashmir, where civilians have contributed cash, jewelry, and household essentials to aid those affected by the war. The Iranian mission in India specifically highlighted the emotional impact of this.
