NEW YORK, NY – JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has come under scrutiny after a leaked audio recording revealed him using expletives to describe Rohit Chopra, the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) who Donald Trump has fired.
Forbes accessed the tape, which captured Dimon’s remarks during a town hall meeting with employees in Columbus, Ohio.
In the recording, Dimon acknowledged that the CFPB, which has been shut down under Trump, had contributed to consumer protections. Ranting, he said, “I think this guy — Chopra or whatever his name is…” is an “arrogant, out-of-touch son of a b***h who just made things worse for a lot of Americans.”
Dimon accused the CFPB under Chopra’s leadership of overstepping its authority, arguing that similar consumer protection work was already being handled by other agencies.
He dismissed the impact of the agency’s closure, stating, “So if they get rid of it or not, it makes no difference to me. It should exist, but it should be inside the OCC like it used to be when it comes to banks.”
The leaked remarks have again brought attention to the ongoing tensions between major financial institutions and regulatory bodies

That remark is understandable since now banks have total freedom to cheat consumers. It is shame that Republicans are probusiness to the extent anti consumers.

The remark of Dimon better suits Dimon himself than Chopra.

These are some of the signs of the very disturbed and morphed psychology of the current leadership. They have no respect for educated, rational, and intelligent people. They are privileged people who historically benefitted from the economically entrenched system and are now afraid of the masses. If the current public policies continue without check, you will see a revolution of the masses. Let’s hope so.
