Martin Scorsese Joins Ishaan-Janhvi Starrer ‘Homebound’ As Executive Producer

MUMBAI (ANI)- Just ahead of its Cannes premiere, Martin Scorsese has joined Homebound—starring Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor—as executive producer.

Scorsese praised Homebound and its director Neeraj Ghaywan.
“I saw Neeraj’s first film Masaan in 2015 and loved it. So, when Melita Toscan du Plantier sent me his second film, I was curious. I loved the story, the culture, and wanted to help. Neeraj has made a beautifully crafted film that’s a significant contribution to Indian cinema. I’m glad it’s an official selection at Cannes this year.”

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound will be screened in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. This marks a return to Cannes for Ghaywan, whose debut film Masaan won acclaim in the same category in 2015.

The film is produced by Karan Johar who posted the news, calling the project “an extraordinary confluence of talent, vision, and storytelling.” He added, “Having @martinscorsese_, a true legend of cinema, lend his wisdom and support to Neeraj’s remarkable vision elevates our film to rare artistic heights.”
