In an Instagram post on January 27, the multi-talented star showcased a black alligator-skin mini Hermès Kelly bag adorned with her children’s names—Spencer, 4, Katherine “Kit,” 7, and Anne, who was born in February 2024—spelled out in dazzling letters, accented with charms.

Hermès Kelly bags, famously named after Grace Kelly, are a marker of timeless elegance, and Kaling’s personalized version cements her trendsetting status. People noted that these coveted bags can resell for tens—or even hundreds—of thousands of dollars depending on their rarity.

Kaling’s eye for style seems to run in the family. Similar bags fetch upwards of $88,000 on resale sites, excluding Kaling’s customizations, the magazine noted.

Kaling, who has chosen to keep her children’s father private and generally avoids showing their faces on social media, gave this rare nod to her family life while embracing her status as a fashion icon.

The Never Have I Ever creator was recently in Paris, attending Patou’s Menswear Fall 2025 and posted about her trip there which included exploring Paris’s high-end boutiques.
