CHICAGO, IL – In an unprecedented display of unity and camaraderie, over 700 Prajapati families from across the United States congregated in Downs Grove, a quaint town near here, for the inaugural Convention 2023 held on July 29 and 30. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of togetherness and pride within the Prajapati community.

The organizing committee orchestrated a range of cultural and religious festivities that commenced with a grand deep pragatya and arati ceremony. This was complemented by enchanting fulhar, thal, and Garba Ras Dandiya performances that captivated the attendees and showcased the cultural richness of the community.

Sanjay Rawal, a distinguished Life Skill Guru from India, graced the occasion as the chief guest on the second day. His stirring address emphasized the importance of generosity and unity within the Prajapati Samaj community, leaving an indelible mark on all present.

A feature of the convention was the benevolent contributions made by various individuals. Leading the way, Pinakinbhai and Snehalben Oza’s generous donation of $21,001 set a benchmark. Notably, Dineshbhai Bababhai and Varshaben Prajapati of Florida contributed $7001, while Ashwinbhai and Santu Ben Prajapati from New Jersey donated $5555. Further enriching the philanthropic spirit, Raj Bhai A. Jinjuwada offered $5111, and other prominent donors such as Dineshbhai P and Kailashben Prajapati from Ohio, along with Prahaladbhai and Shantaben P Prajapati from GA, gave substantial sums.

Also present at the convention was Chandamal Komawatji, the chairman of Manish Media and a member of the Prajapati Samaj. Alongside his family, he graced the event and marked a significant occasion by unveiling the book “Life of Shri Vijay Devaratnaji Mistry.” This poignant narrative chronicles the inspiring journey of Mistry, originally hailing from Bilimoria and now in the US.

The event also served as a platform to honor notable leaders and dedicated workers for their exceptional contributions.

The attendees were treated to inspiring performances by the community’s children, showcasing their diverse talents and adding a touch of youthful exuberance to the proceedings.

As the convention drew to a close, Dineshbhai Prajapati extended heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their participation and support. A special mention was reserved for the arrangements made at the Hotel Motel, ensuring comfortable accommodation for families from across the nation.

The culmination of the event was marked by a poignant two-minute prayer dedicated to the late wife of Ramu Prajapati, Heenaben, tragically lost in a car accident in Canada. The attendees united in their hopes for the swift recovery of their sons Yas and Mahi.
