Richard Verma To Lead US Efforts In Ukraine’s Economic Recovery

WASHINGTON, DC – In a significant move to bolster Ukraine’s war-torn economy, Richard Verma has been appointed as the US Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery.

This new role comes in addition to his current responsibilities as the Deputy Secretary of State for Management & Resources.

The appointment underscores Verma’s extensive experience and the trust placed in him by the Biden administration to manage this critical task which remains steadfast in extending help to Ukraine in various sectors.

Verma will build on the work of his predecessor, Special Representative Penny Pritzker, continuing the United States’ commitment to aiding Ukraine’s economic resurgence.

Verma’s distinguished career includes serving on several non-profit boards such as the Ford Foundation, Lehigh University, and the National Endowment for Democracy. Verma holds multiple degrees, including a doctorate from Georgetown University.
