Ro Khanna Criticizes President Biden’s Pardon Of Son
India-West News Desk
Congressman Ro Khanna (D-CA) has criticized President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, on December 1, framing it as a missed opportunity for systemic reform. While expressing empathy for Biden’s personal struggles, Khanna underscored the need for Democrats to lead on structural changes.
“Democrats should have been for reforming and curtailing pardon power from Day 1 of the Biden Presidency. As a father, I empathize with President Biden, but we must be the party of reform, whether it’s about the archaic pardon power, opposing super PACs, or broad war powers,” Khanna posted.
The controversial pardon marks a departure from Biden’s earlier stance against using executive authority in personal matters. In a statement defending his decision, the President acknowledged the complexity of the situation.
“I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and led to a miscarriage of justice. Once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision,” Biden said.

President has made the right decision; if not, Trump would have pardoned himself anyway. Also, he would have had Hunter behind bars because he would have jumped at his enemies from the very first moment.
