Salman Khan’s Security Beefed Up After Baba Siddique Killing

MUMBAI, (ANI) – Baba Siddique of the NCP was shot at outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Bandra East, on October 12 night. Siddique of the Nationalist Congress Party had received a threat to his life 15 days ago. He succumbed to bullet injuries at the Lilavati Hospital shortly after the attack.

Police said Siddique’s security had been bolstered to Y category after he had While two of the assailants have been since arrested – one who hails from Haryana and the other from Uttar Pradesh – one more suspect is still at large, said the Mumbai Police.

A prominent Muslim leader from Mumbai, Siddique was also known be close to several Bollywood stars, particularly Salman Khan.

Notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is a prime suspect in the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, as well as in the threats and attacks against Salman Khan, has been linked to Siddique’s killing as well.

With reports suggesting Lawrence’s involvement in the assassination, the security of Salman Khan and his family has become a major issue and his security has been beefed up.
Salman Khan has been on Lawrence Bishnoi’s hit list for quite some time. There was a shooting incident near his home in April. On June 4, the star gave a statement to the Mumbai Police following a series of threats and attacks targeting him and his family.
