Seattle Orcas Set To Debut Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament In August

SEATTLE, WA-The Seattle Orcas will debut their inaugural Women’s T20 Exhibition this summer, featuring international professionals alongside leading domestic players from across the United States.

Scheduled from August 20-23 at Tollgate Farm Park in North Bend, Washington, the tournament will feature three franchises – the Bellevue Blazers, Redmond Raptors, and Washington Waves. Each team will face the others twice before the top two finishers meet in the championship final.

The event, organized in partnership with Cricket Impact Group, is part of the Major League Cricket franchise’s efforts to expand women’s cricket and create more competitive opportunities for players in the U.S.

Indian-origin players and coaches feature prominently across all three teams.

Organizers say the exhibition will give emerging players the chance to compete alongside established international cricketers while helping expand women’s cricket in the Pacific Northwest.

The Seattle Orcas hope the tournament will become an annual event that combines elite competition with player development and community engagement.
