MUMBAI (ANI) On World Theatre Day, acclaimed filmmaker Shoojit Sircar reflected on his early days in Delhi, where he honed his craft with the amateur theatre group Act One.

Sircar took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photograph from that time, expressing gratitude for the group and its mentor, the legendary N.K. Sharma (Panditji).

“Throwback to my theatre days in Delhi! Sharing this photo from my time with Act One, the group that shaped me into the person I am today. I’m forever grateful to my Act One friends and our mentor, the legendary N.K. Sharma (Panditji). Thank you, Parthiv, for sharing this pic. Wishing all my fellow thespians a very Happy World Theatre Day!” he captioned the post.

Sircar, known for films like Vicky Donor, Piku, October, and Gulabo Sitabo, recently collaborated with Abhishek Bachchan on I Want to Talk. The film explores themes of resilience and human connection, following Arjun Sen, a talkative Bengali man who, after learning he has only 100 days to live, embarks on an emotional journey to mend his fractured relationship with his estranged seven-year-old daughter.
