Suhas Subramanyam: Trump Admin Has More Arrests For Botched Reflecting Pool Than In Epstein Case

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Suhas Subramanyam criticized the Trump administration’s handling of cases tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, arguing that more people have been arrested over alleged vandalism at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool than in connection with the Epstein investigation.

Speaking on DC News Now’s “Sunrise on The Hill,” the Virginia Democrat, who serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said, “There’s been more people arrested over this than the Epstein files. That’s how this administration operates these days.”

His remarks came after five people were arrested for allegedly tampering with the recently renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Authorities accused the individuals of vandalizing the landmark, although some of those detained said they had only touched the water. They were charged with destruction of government property, an offense that carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.

Subramanyam has been among lawmakers urging the Trump administration to pursue charges against Epstein’s associates following the release of millions of documents from the late financier’s estate earlier this year.

Subramanyam added that, as a member of the House Oversight Committee, he would continue working with colleagues to conduct “a full, thorough investigation” and hold those responsible for crimes against girls accountable.
