Trump Says He “Hates” Taylor Swift. Fans Raise Funds For Harris.

NEW YORK, NY – An organization of Taylor Swift fans, known as “Swifties for Kamala,” announced on September 16 that they have raised over $40,000 for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign.

The fundraising surge came after her Republican rival Donald Trump posted a disparaging message about the pop star on September 15: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” This outburst was swiftly leveraged by the Swifties for Kamala group to rally support and donations for Harris.

Carly Long, a representative of the group, explained the strategy: “As soon as we saw the post, we knew this was an opportunity. Our team quickly developed lyric-based response ideas and methods to integrate our donation and volunteer calls.”

Since launching their fundraising and outreach efforts less than two months ago, the group has raised over $200,000.

In addition to their fundraising efforts and phone banking, Swifties for Kamala is planning further outreach, particularly targeting key swing states, it said.
