Tulsi Gabbard Cites ‘Hostility Towards God’ As Reason For Leaving Democrats

ST. PAUL, MN – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has said the disruption at Cities Church here, by anti-ICE agitators, highlights what made her leave the Democratic Party.

The incident involved anti-ICE agitators storming a service at Cities Church in St. Paul, shouting and chanting inside the sanctuary as congregants were gathered. The commotion arose because the church lists a pastor, David Easterwood, who congregants noted was ICE’s St. Paul field officer.

The protest was part of broader unrest following the fatal ICE-involved shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis early this month, which has sparked widespread demonstrations and resulted in heavy handed ICE actions, including arrests of citizens who look like they might have immigrated to the US.  

Gabbard, who is a Hindu, posted, “One of the main reasons I left the Democratic Party was because of their hostility towards God and those who have faith in or are trying to cultivate their love for God.”

She added, “Those so-called ‘protestors’ who tried to intimidate and terrorize innocent women, children, and men in the Minneapolis church is just another example of their hostility towards God and His worshippers. Such behavior is demonic and should be condemned by everyone, and those who took part in such intimidation tactics should be held accountable.”

Gabbard’s criticism is rooted in what she sees as a broader problem: she believes the Democratic Party has become “hostile towards God” and those of faith. She said the incident at the church, where anti-ICE demonstrators entered during worship and chanted inside the sanctuary, is another example of that hostility.

She left the Democratic Party in 2022, denouncing it as an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”
