Washington Dialogs Affirm Robust India-US Ties, Say Both Nations

WASHINGTON, DC (ANI) – Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Deputy National Security Advisor (NSA) Pavan Kapoor engaged in discussions here, reaffirming the robust India-US partnership across defense, technology, and trade. Misri’s three-day visit, concluding may 30, has focused on advancing bilateral cooperation and strategic initiatives.

On May 29, Misri and Kapoor met with US Under Secretary of Defense Elbridge Colby. Colby expressed strong satisfaction with the meeting, posting, “U.S.-India alliance is on fundamentally strong ground based on shared interests and mutual respect.” He emphasized the Department of Defense’s commitment to elevating defense cooperation within this critical partnership.

Earlier, the Indian delegation held an engaging interaction with leading US think tank experts, discussing wide-ranging aspects of India-US cooperation in defense, technology, and trade, alongside key regional and global developments, as confirmed by the Embassy of India in the US on ‘X’.

Misri also held a meeting with Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, where they reviewed all facets of the India-US relationship. Both officials concurred that technology, trade, and talent will be pivotal in shaping the partnership in the 21st century and reaffirmed their commitment to fortifying the comprehensive global strategic partnership.
