NEW DELHI -Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s return to the Indian Premier League final carries significance beyond cricket, coming a year after the franchise’s maiden IPL title celebrations in Bengaluru ended in tragedy.

RCB secured a place in the IPL 2026 final after topping the league stage and defeating the Gujarat Titans in the playoffs. Leading the campaign is Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli, who has scored 600 runs in 15 matches this season, including a century and four half-centuries.

At 37, the former India captain continues to remain the central figure of the franchise, having represented RCB since the IPL began in 2008.
