Mahesh Babu Left The Shirodkar Sisters Speechless With His Hidden Marathi

MUMBAI- Bollywood actor Shilpa Shirodkar has revealed a hilarious family secret involving her superstar brother-in-law, Mahesh Babu, saying he secretly understood Marathi during the early years of his marriage to her sister, actor Namrata Shirodkar.

Appearing on the latest episode of the dance reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer’ Season 5, Shilpa recalled how Mahesh surprised her and Namrata by revealing that he understood the Marathi conversations they believed were private.

“I have to tell you this; it’s a very personal thing,” Shilpa revealed with a laugh. “My sister is married to Mahesh, right? Who is Telugu. He didn’t know Marathi when they were newly married. So if we wanted to say anything secretly, we would speak in Marathi. So after a few years of being married to Namrata, me and Namrata were talking about something, and suddenly Mahesh said, ‘Oh, is it so?’ And we were like he knows Marathi!

“He was like, ‘I understand Marathi.’ So he actually knows Marathi, he was hiding it from us! And it was so funny because me and Namrata literally got caught and we were like, thank God we didn’t say anything that would have gotten us really, really taken for a ride.”

Mahesh Babu has been married to former actor and beauty queen Namrata Shirodkar since 2005. (IANS)
