FIFA World Cup 2026 Winners To Receive American Style Championship Rings

TRENTON, NJ-The winners of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will receive the first-ever championship rings in the tournament’s history, in addition to the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy and gold medals, FIFA announced on July 17.

The bespoke championship rings bring one of the most recognizable North American sporting traditions to football’s biggest tournament. The winning team will be honored with the rings after the FIFA World Cup 2026 final at New Jersey Stadium.

One side of each ring features the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the other will be customized to reflect the identity of the winning team. Each ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately after the final, the captain and head coach of the winning team will receive temporary rings to commemorate the victory.

The 30 championship rings for the winners will then be individually produced and officially presented at a later date, ensuring a perfect fit as a lasting memento of their achievement.

Each ring will be part of a strictly limited edition of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, marking the FIFA World Cup 2026. Of these, 30 will be presented to the victorious team, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to fans worldwide as an Official Licensed Product, allowing supporters to own a unique piece of FIFA World Cup 2026 history.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the final scheduled to be played at New Jersey Stadium. FIFA said the introduction of championship rings adds a new tradition to the tournament while giving the winners a lasting symbol of their achievement. (IANS)
