Health Camp Of New Jersey Opens Lata Atul Shah Community Health Center

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Health Camp of New Jersey opened the Lata Atul Shah Community Health Center on September 19. More than 100 community members, doctors, civic leaders, volunteers and supporters attended the opening.

The center is being developed as a Health Center Program Look-Alike, with the long-term goal of becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center. It is planned to provide primary and preventive care, chronic disease management, health education, and referrals throughout the year.

The center will focus on prevention, early detection, and management of conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. It will also provide health education and culturally responsive services for diverse and immigrant communities.

Founded in 1998, HCNJ provides preventive healthcare, health education, and referrals to uninsured, underinsured, and underserved individuals.
