Cellular Agriculture

Legislators who seek to reduce our greenhouse-gas emissions should support increased public funding for cultivated-meat research. For those who don’t know, cultivated meat is grown from livestock cells, without slaughter. Traditional animal agriculture is one of the leading causes of global warming.
While cultivated meat faces several technological hurdles, it has the potential to serve as a much greener alternative. Politicians should help advance the field of cellular agriculture for the sake of our planet. Also, cultivated meat could dramatically reduce our pandemic risk and the suffering we inflict on animals.
