MILWAUKEE, WI – In a significant development for the 2024 presidential race, JD Vance has been selected as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate. The announcement has garnered enthusiastic support from Vance’s former law school classmate and fellow Ohioan, Vivek Ramaswamy.
Ramaswamy, who had to withdraw from the Republican presidential race after a fourth-place finish in the Iowa caucuses, expressed his excitement on social media. “So proud of my friend, classmate, and fellow southwest Ohioan today. We used to watch Bengals games at the bar in law school. It’s awesome we’re now here a decade later with JD joining the strongest presidential ticket in our lifetime,” Ramaswamy wrote. He added, “He’ll be an outstanding Vice President and I look forward to everything ahead for him and for our country.”
In addition to their political ties, Ramaswamy revealed that Vance’s wife, Usha, is also a family friend and was a classmate during their law school days. The personal connections between the families extend further, as Vance is a father of three children, one of whom is named Vivek.
Ramaswamy too had been seen as being in the running for the veep slot on the Trump ticket and has been frequenting Trump’s orbit in Florida.
