ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Draws Record Fan Response

DUBAI- Ticket sales for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales have crossed 1,45,000, making it the highest-selling edition in the tournament’s history, with 30 days still remaining before the opening match between England and Sri Lanka in Birmingham.

The International Cricket Council said the ticket sales had already surpassed the total attendance of 136,549 recorded during the entire 2020 edition in Australia.

The ICC said the figures reflected the growing popularity of women’s cricket and increasing global interest in the women’s game.

The 2026 tournament will feature 12 teams competing across seven venues in England and Wales. Warm-up matches will be held from June 6 to 10 at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Derby County Ground, and Loughborough University, which houses the England and Wales Cricket Board’s National Cricket Performance Centre.
