MUMBAI – Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen underscored the transformative potential of India’s creative economy while speaking at the inaugural WAVES Summit 2025, currently underway at the Jio World Center in Mumbai.

Narayen declared, “Bharat ka agla boom in the economy will not be in software but in creativity.” Emphasizing Adobe’s longstanding role in shaping global creative industries, he noted, “For over four decades, Adobe has helped in designing over 20,000 magazines and several videos. It is exciting to see that momentum come to India.”

He added that the creative sector in India has the potential to generate more employment than manufacturing and expressed Adobe’s commitment to supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India the world’s creativity capital.

Coinciding with the summit, Adobe announced a series of strategic collaborations aimed at strengthening India’s creative and educational infrastructure. New partnerships were launched with WAVES Bazaar, the Indian Institution of Creative Technology, Accenture, and TCS Interactive.

In addition, Adobe is working with the Ministry of Education to integrate AI and creative skills into school curricula, including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Army Public Schools, and other institutions.
