MUMBAI (ANI)  Agastya Nanda, grandson of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, is set to make his big-screen debut with the upcoming war drama Ikkis, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sriram Raghavan. The film also stars veterans Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award. Khetarpal was posthumously honored for his bravery during the 1971 Battle of Basantar in the India-Pakistan war.

The one-minute teaser, released on May 24, features a wartime Telegram announcing the young officer’s demise, capturing the emotional and patriotic undertones of the film.

Agastya Nanda made his screen debut in 2023 with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, which premiered on Netflix.
