Anupam Kher’s Directorial ‘Tanvi The Great’ To Premiere At Cannes

MUMBAI (ANI)-  Anupam Kher’s directorial venture Tanvi The Great is set to make its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

The film will be screened within the Marché du Film segment of the festival, with the cast and crew in attendance. Kher will introduce the film himself at the event, which is expected to draw numerous industry A-listers.

Kher expressed his excitement, stating that the film was created with “deep passion and purpose.” He emphasized that the story carries universal emotions that will connect with audiences in both India and the United States.

“I’ve always wanted to create a film with a universal theme—one that transcends boundaries and connects with hearts everywhere. I believe ‘Tanvi The Great’ will resonate just as deeply with audiences in Ahmedabad as it will in America,” said Kher.

The film features music by Oscar-winning composer M.M. Keeravani, whose contribution Kher praised as elevating the project to new heights. Produced in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), Tanvi The Great recently released its first-look teaser.

Following its Cannes debut, the film is scheduled for a global screening tour, including stops in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
