Aruna Miller, Indian Embassy Join Dussehra Celebrations At ISKCON
WASHINGTON, DC — The Indian Embassy joined the ISKCON Temple in Maryland in celebrating Dussehra, in an event that also saw the participation of Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller and several state officials.
The celebration, marked by devotional performances and cultural programs, highlighted the festival’s message of the triumph of good over evil. Lt. Gov. Miller, who attended as a guest of honor, commended the Indian American community for preserving and sharing its cultural and spiritual traditions in the United States. It might be recalled that Miller when sworn into office, had take the oath by placing her hand on Srila Prabhupada‘s Bhagavad Gita
Representing the Embassy, Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Namya C. Khampa extended festive greetings to attendees. She praised ISKCON for its continued efforts in promoting spirituality, community service, and interfaith harmony.
