At Rajghat, Biden Says Indo-US Relations Rooted In Gandhian Principles
NEW DELHI, (IANS) – On the second day of the G20 summit, world leaders on September 10 paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed each of them with a khaadi shawl.
All leaders paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and laid wreaths.
Calling his visit to the Raj Ghat Memorial an ‘honor’, President Joe Biden said that Mahatma Gandhi’s message of non-violence, respect, and truth matters today more than ever.
President Biden further stated that the partnership between India and the United States is rooted in Mahatma Gandhi’s principle of trusteeship.
