Barun Sobti’s Life Mantra: No Mistakes, Only Lessons
MUMBAI : Popular actor Barun Sobti says he does not believe in the idea of mistakes, adding that life is more about recognizing whether a choice was right or wrong and learning from it.
Speaking about how he deals with mistakes, Barun was asked whether he tends to dwell on them or has learned to accept them and move on.
“I don’t believe in mistakes. What I would say is that even if you want to call something a mistake, it comes down to whether you did the right thing or the wrong thing,” he said. “Realizing that you’ve done something wrong is the starting point of getting back on the right path. You cannot be too hard on yourself. You have to learn how to deal with it.”
Barun is reprising his hit role as assistant police sub-inspector Amarpal Jasjit Garundi in ‘Kohrra 2’.
Talking about his upcoming Netflix series, which explores a murder mystery along with themes of broken relationships and moral fatigue, Barun reflected on what the project taught him about human fragility.
“Individually, I have always wanted to grow as a human being who is part of the media as a whole, and I think I have taken a step further with this,” he said. “I was also observing how differently writers and actors approach the uncovering process. You read something, but execute it in your own way because it exists in your mind. I was learning alongside that process.”
The new chapter of ‘Kohrra’ also stars Rannvijay Singha, with Mona playing a key role in the investigation. The second season will stream on Netflix from February 11. (IANS)
