Bharti Singh: I Hate Thinking About My Childhood
MUMBAI- Stand-up star Bharti Singh has talked about why she hates and feels bad when she thinks about her childhood.
In an upcoming episode of ‘Super Dancer Chapter 5’, Bharti became emotional while watching a performance by contestant Apsara Boro. The act resonated deeply with her own childhood struggles, as it showed a girl taking care of her sister—just as Bharti’s sister used to care for her.
In a promo shared by the channel, the comedian was seen walking off the set in tears after the act, saying, “The one thing I hate is exactly what you showed me.”
When asked why, she said, “I feel very bad, and I hate it when I think of my childhood, as I faced a lot of issues.” She explained that she never got to celebrate festivals like other children. “I used to not like festivals as we did not have anything to celebrate like other children,” an emotional Bharti said.
This difficult past is why she now advocates for all house help. Revealing her reason, she said, “So now I always stand for all the house help, drivers, etc.; they take care of us,leaving their kids behind.” In the upcoming episode, Bharti even gave new clothes to the young contestant, who had earlier watched other children wearing new outfits.
