NEW DELHI — A powerful explosion ripped through parked vehicles near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on the evening of November 10, killing at least 10 people and injuring over a dozen others. The blast sent shockwaves through the capital and prompted authorities to declare a high alert across the country, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, and Nagpur, where security has been intensified around key centers, including the RSS headquarters.
The explosion occurred in one of Old Delhi’s most densely populated areas, close to the iconic Red Fort. Witnesses reported hearing a deafening bang followed by flames engulfing several cars and autorickshaws. “We heard a loud blast and saw fire everywhere,” said a local shopkeeper.
