
Check Out The Indian Films To Play At Cannes

MUMBAI – Cannes 2025 will once again highlight Indian talent and films. A quick look at the films being screened at the festival that begins today:
Aranyer Din Ratri
Ray’s 1970 classic Aranyer Din Ratri, starring Sharmila Tagore and Soumitra Chatterjee, will be screened at Cannes in a newly restored 4K version. Sharmila Tagore and other cast members, including Simi Grewal, will attend the screening.
Tanvi The Great
Anupam Kher’s Tanvi The Great will debut at Cannes on May 17 before hitting theaters. The film features Karan Tacker in his big-screen debut, alongside Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, and Iain Glen.
Homebound
Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, will be shown in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. This marks the duo’s Cannes debut after Dhadak.
Charak
Charak, directed by Sheiladitya Moulik, explores themes of blind faith through the lens of the Charak Puja ritual of Bengal and will also be featured at the festival.
A Doll Made of Clay
The SRFTI production A Doll Made of Clay, directed by Ethiopian student Kokob Gebrehaweria Tesfay, has been selected for Cannes’ La Cinef section, spotlighting student filmmakers.
