Chicago Community Groups Mark Shivaji Jayanti

CHICAGO, IL– Community organizations in Chicago commemorated the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at a program attended by members of several local groups and youth participants.
The event was organized by Maharashtra Mandal Chicago, Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America, and CSM 350 (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Monument in Chicago).

The program opened with the national anthems and Vande Mataram, followed by cultural presentations highlighting the life and legacy of Shivaji Maharaj.
Singer Vira Adimulam performed a Shivaji-themed song from the film Chhava during the program.
The keynote address was delivered by Avatans, president of INDIC, who spoke about the historical significance of Shivaji Maharaj.
