Congressman Ami Bera Reappointed To House Intelligence Committee

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Ami Bera (D-CA) has been reappointed to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence for the 119th Congress by Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The committee is responsible for overseeing U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA, NSA, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
“I am honored to be reappointed to the House Intelligence Committee, which plays a critical role in safeguarding the national security of the United States,” Bera said in a statement. “Given the growing challenges at home and abroad, the committee’s work is essential. I look forward to working with my colleagues across the aisle to ensure the Intelligence Community remains effective and independent.”
Bera, who first joined the committee in the 118th Congress, has previously served on the National Intelligence Enterprise and National Security Agency and Cyber Subcommittees.
In addition to his position on the Intelligence Committee, Bera was also elected as Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on East Asia and the Pacific for the 119th Congress.
