MUMBAI, (ANI)- Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is using her platform to highlight the importance of mental health, especially among students facing academic pressure. As a guest on the eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, she shared her insights on managing stress and emotional well-being.
Taking to Instagram, Deepika shared a teaser of the upcoming episode, where she engages with students about mental health challenges. In her caption, she thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing this important issue.
During the conversation, Deepika reflected on her own school days, admitting she wasn’t always a top student and often struggled with certain subjects. “I was a very naughty child—always jumping on sofas, tables, and chairs. Stress is something we all experience. For example, I was weak in Maths and still am! But as Modi ji also mentioned in his book, it’s important to express rather than suppress emotions. We should always talk about our feelings, whether with friends, family, parents, or teachers,” she said.
Deepika, a longtime advocate for mental health, emphasized the need for open conversations about stress and emotional struggles. She encouraged students to seek support, reminding them that academic pressure should never come at the cost of their well-being.
