NEW DELHI (ANI) – The Delhi Police Crime Branch has registered an FIR against multiple visa and passport agents, mainly operating in Punjab and Haryana, following a complaint from the US Embassy. The case was filed on February 27.
According to the complaint, these agents submitted false information in US visa applications and provided fake documents to applicants in an attempt to fraudulently secure visas.
The US Embassy stated that from May to August 2024, its office investigated multiple IP addresses linked to visa consultants, document vendors, passport delivery addresses, and education consultants. Officials identified more than 30 agents and applicants allegedly involved in using fraudulent documents, including fake educational certificates, bank statements, and employment records.
