Farah Khan Calls Hosting ‘Lock Upp’ Her ‘Dream Job’

MUMBAI-Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan says her love for reality television made hosting ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’ a memorable experience, calling the show her “dream job.”

Farah, who co-hosts the second season of ‘Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’ with actor Riteish Deshmukh, also described it as the best captive reality show she has watched.

Sharing her thoughts on the show, Farah said, “Everyone knows I am obsessed with reality TV, so when I say Lock Upp is the best captive reality show I’ve ever watched, not just hosted, you know I mean it. The show recently crossed 50 million viewing hours within three weeks of its premiere.

Actor and co-host Riteish Deshmukh said the show’s 50 million viewing hours reflected its strong connect with audiences in India and around the world.

Producer Ekta Kapoor said Netflix’s partnership and shared commitment helped transform ‘Lock Upp’ into more than just a reality show, calling it a cultural conversation.

Netflix India said the show has generated 2.5 billion social media views and reached viewers across 12 countries within three weeks of its premiere, highlighting the growing global appeal of Indian non-fiction content.

The show follows contestants living together in confinement while competing in tasks and eliminations. The show features contestants including Ram Kapoor, Shilpa Shinde, Apoorva Makhija and Shivangi Joshi. (IANS)
