MUMBAI (ANI) – Actors Govinda and Krushna Abhishek made a heartwarming return to the stage together on the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, ending their long-standing family feud that had kept the uncle-nephew duo apart for years.

A viral clip from the episode shows the two actors dancing together and joking about their past rift. At one point, Krushna, dressed as Aladdin, teased Kiku Sharda, who was playing a genie. Govinda playfully interrupted, calling Krushna a “gadha (donkey),” prompting laughter from the audience.

Krushna embraced his uncle and said, “We’ve met after a long time. Won’t let you go now.”

The promo also featured Arti Singh, Krushna’s sister and Govinda’s niece, sitting in the audience. Earlier this year, Govinda had attended Arti’s wedding, marking a significant step in healing the family’s strained relationships.

Joining Govinda on the show were his 90s contemporaries, Shakti Kapoor and Chunky Pandey.

The family rift dates back to 2018, when Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, reportedly criticized Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, for a tweet about “people who dance for money,” which was believed to be aimed at Govinda. The fallout caused a deep divide between the families, with Govinda and Krushna’s families distancing themselves from Kashmera and her husband. Krushna later clarified that the tweet was intended for his sister, Arti Singh, but the damage had already been done, leading to a public estrangement.
