Harmeet Dhillon Offers ‘Ardas’ At Republican Convention
MILWAUKEE, WI (IANS) – Attorney Harmeet Kaur Dhillon offered ‘ardas’ the Sikh prayer at the Republican National Convention.
At the Fiserv Forum, she said, “These last 48 hours have been some of the most intense, yet more prayerful of our lives, the heinous attack on President Trump and his supporters made all of us pause and seek answers in comfort. I come from a family of Sikh immigrants, and I’m honored to share with you, my fellow Republicans and guests tonight, a prayer from my faith and tradition practiced by over 25 million worldwide,” she said.
“We recite the Ardaas prayer before any new endeavor, giving thanks to God and asking for his protection and help to uphold the values of humility, truth, courage, service, and justice for all,” she added.
“Dear Waheguru, our one true God, we thank you for creating America as a unique heaven on this Earth, where all people are free to worship according to their faith. We seek your blessings and guidance for our beloved country. Please bless our people with wisdom as they vote for the upcoming election and please bless with humility, honesty, skill and integrity all those who conduct the election,” she said after offering ‘ardas’.
She thanked God for protecting Trump’s life and mentioned the leader’s “tireless and uplifting spirit”.
Dhillon has also served as the vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party and co-chairs the Women for Trump organization.

Love how religions start with one purpose and repurpose themselves to another.
1) Sikhs have 10 Gurus and no Gods
2) Now read their names out loud and then think who their GODS are
3) Now go and look at why the Sikhs wear turbans. Should all followers wear them. It is voluntary but there was a reason. Is that still needed to be a true Sikh.
I love all the 9 Sikh Gurus and would never miss meeting them if they decided to spend a day with us in any corner of the world and in any weather. But I love their Gods and mine, which I believe are the same.

Harmeet Kaur Dhillon must be congratulated for delivering a very thoughtful ARDAS focusing on the true meaning of the Sikh prayer for the recovery of all persons regardless of their shortcomings and deficient character values.
She must be mindful that she is walking in a mine full of broken promises of the Republican Party which has a long history of discrimination against minorities. You need not look far in the Convention Hall, there are so few persons of color, and most of them are Uncle Tom and boot lickers having no self-respect except begging for crumbs. Trump insulted Nikky Haley, and her immigrant family, dishonored her husband for serving the country abroad, called her inappropriate names, and staged her for the worst kind of booing at the conference hall, and in return, she supported the devil. Go figure!
