BOSTON, MA – The historic Faneuil Hall Marketplace was transformed into a vibrant celebration of color and culture as the India Society of Worcester (ISW) hosted its annual Holi festival. Drawing hundreds of attendees, the event brought together community members and visitors for an immersive, authentic experience of India’s cherished Festival of Colors.

The festivities kicked off with the signature performance by the ISW Symphony, featuring the thunderous beats of Dhol & Tasha drums, accompanied by synchronized Lezim dancers. The dynamic performance energized the crowd, setting the tone for an unforgettable afternoon.

“We matched the energy level of a performance in India. It’s wonderful to see the next generation now interested and invested in this tradition,” said Akshay Rajhans, a proud member of the ISW Symphony.

The celebration continued with dazzling dance routines from community groups representing diverse regions of India. The performances captivated the audience, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and unity that Holi symbolizes.

Participant Prasanna Pawar shared, “The Holi event was an absolute hit! The energy was incredible, and the performances had everyone completely captivated.” Sonia Gera, an enthusiastic ISW Symphony member, added, “Such a fun-filled Holi celebration. Blessed to be part of this team!” Reflecting on the joyous atmosphere, event attendee Arvind Kinhikar noted, “Right from the beginning, we knew we were going to rock! The energy was infectious, even inspiring a toddler to dance. It was a heartfelt celebration that truly brought Boston together.”

Based in Shrewsbury, MA, the India Society of Worcester (ISW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Indian culture, heritage, and community spirit through various cultural, educational, and social initiatives.
