NEW YORK, NY  – The Indian American Muslims of North America (IAMNA) has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and injuries sustained by many.

In a statement released on April 25, IAMNA described the attack as an assault on humanity, justice, and peace, conveying solidarity with the victims and the people of India. The organization unequivocally denounced terrorism in all its forms, asserting that no justification exists for such brutal violence.

Following an emergency session, IAMNA’s leadership issued a joint statement emphasizing the urgent need to confront terrorism with courage and moral clarity, urging the Government of India to take decisive action to identify and prosecute those responsible, ensuring innocent lives are never the price of extremism.

IAMNA also strongly denounced any attempts to communalize the tragedy. The organization called on media and political commentators to avoid divisive rhetoric and for the pursuit of justice to be guided by truth, not prejudice.

Highlighting potential lapses in security, IAMNA urged Indian authorities to conduct a thorough review and implement measures to prevent future tragedies, stressing that the safety of every citizen, regardless of faith, must be paramount.
