BEAVERTON, OR – Nike has partnered with NorBlack NorWhite to launch a vibrant new collection of apparel, footwear, and accessories. Designed to invite women into sport, the line celebrates Indian culture and craftsmanship while promoting freedom of movement and expression.

The collaboration integrates the traditional Indian tie-dye technique, bandhani, into sport-forward silhouettes. This centuries-old practice creates intricate patterns synonymous with Indian style, now applied to pieces designed for women’s everyday lives, from workouts to relaxation.

“Our NorBlack NorWhite journey started with a deep admiration for the crafts practices of India and the people who bring them to life,” says Mriga Kapadiya, NorBlack NorWhite co-founder. “This collection shines a light on the rigor, dedication and ancestral knowledge that’s rooted in Indian culture, and we hope each piece inspires women to draw into their own athletic mindset while navigating everyday life in India and around the world.”

The collection features four footwear styles for women: the Nike Air Max Craze, Motiva, Pegasus 41, and Calm slide. Apparel includes a hoodie, tank, cropped T-shirt, two bra options, a 5-inch short, and 7/8-length tight, all carrying the bandhani motif. A Nike x NorBlack NorWhite cross-body bag complements the collection.

“When women wear pieces from our new collection with Nike, we want them to feel comfortable in their own skin, wherever they are in their journey,” states Amrit Kumar, NorBlack NorWhite co-founder. “We want them to feel cool and collected through the colors, and to be ready to take on challenges and build strength and resilience through the patterns. Women who wear these pieces should have fun and own the spectrum of hues — all knowing that we, as women, aren’t here to play.”

The vibrant campaign showcasing the collection features Indian athletes wrestler Anshu Malik, sprinter Priya Mohan, and cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.

The Nike x NorBlack NorWhite collection became globally available on June 11 at nike.com and select Nike Stores.

  • Not an expert, but I saw that Nike is using an anti-India person from Bangladesh for advertisement in India. And there is a big push going for boycotting Nike in India. Not a smart strategy from Nike!

Its stock is tanking for a while and this kind of thinking will not help. Nike is doomed in India!
