MUMBAI — Actor Ishaan Khatter has opened up about the physical toll that his hectic schedule for the film ‘The Homebound’ has taken on him.

On September 23, Ishaan posted a video sharing his excitement for the project while acknowledging his exhaustion. “Namaskar, Aadab, Hello friends. My eyes are swollen, and my voice is hoarse. I have been running ahead a lot in the last few days. I want to use my medium fully and talk to all of you directly,” he said. “Our film, ‘Homebound,’ is very beautiful. I am very proud of it.”

He added, “In big international film festivals—Cannes, TIFF, Melbourne—our film has represented India and the Indian film industry. Now it’s coming to cinemas in India. I can say with confidence that you won’t be disappointed. I hope this film opens your hearts the way it opened ours. Please watch it on September 26 in theaters. Thank you. See you at the cinemas.”

‘The Homebound’ made waves at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it was featured in the Un Certain Regard section and received a nine-minute standing ovation. The film also premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Produced by Dharma Productions, it stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, and is set for a theatrical release on September 26. (IANS)
