COIMBATORE – The meditation app Miracle of Mind surpassed one million downloads within 15 hours of launch, making it one of the fastest-growing wellness apps, a press release said. Developed by volunteers from the Isha Foundation, the app was unveiled by Sadhguru during Mahashivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center. It offers a free, seven-minute guided meditation and includes an AI-powered tool that personalizes recommendations based on user engagement.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the event, praised Sadhguru’s global influence on self-awareness and traditional wisdom. “Sadhguru is teaching the way of living to the entire world. Through you, Sadhguru, the world is understanding Sanatana,” he said, likening the gathering to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.
Other political figures in attendance included the Governors of Odisha and Punjab, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and BJP Tamil Nadu leader Annamalai. Shah and other dignitaries participated in rituals at the Dhyanalinga before joining the night-long celebrations at the Adiyogi statue, featuring a Maha Aarti and cultural performances.
The event drew celebrities from entertainment and business, including actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Verma, and Mouni Roy; filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra; and footballer Baichung Bhutia. Industry leaders from Ramco Cements, Cholamandalam Finance, and Apollo Hospitals were also present.
Mahashivratri at Isha is an annual celebration featuring live performances and spiritual practices. This year, thousands from over 70 countries participated, with the event streamed in 22 languages. The Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization, conducts global yoga programs and environmental initiatives. Sadhguru has led ecological campaigns such as Project GreenHands, Rally for Rivers, and Save Soil, which have gained international recognition for sustainability efforts, a press release said.
