Jaaved Jaaferi Says ‘Don 3’ Dispute Is Not His Concern

MUMBAI-Actor and dancer Jaaved Jaaferi has distanced himself from the controversy surrounding actor Ranveer Singh’s reported exit from the upcoming film ‘Don 3’, saying the matter does not concern him and is likely to be resolved.

Jaaved said he prefers to focus on his own work rather than comment on disputes involving others.

“I don’t even know what kind of controversy it is. I should focus on my work. What should I do in this controversy? Neither am I Ranveer Singh’s secretary, nor am I any producer or director. So, what will I do? All I know is that he is a good friend and does good work. Whatever has happened will be sorted out,” Jaaved said.

The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh’s reported exit from ‘Don 3’, directed by filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar, has been making headlines in recent weeks and sparked discussions within the Hindi film industry.

Reports had suggested that Ranveer Singh stepped away from the much-anticipated action franchise. Following the reports, Excel Entertainment, the production company co-founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, reportedly stated that substantial pre-production work had already been completed for the film.

The matter escalated when the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), a film industry workers’ body, issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh after receiving a complaint related to his reported withdrawal from the project.

However, FWICE later withdrew the directive following mediation efforts by the Producers Guild of India, the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), and other industry organizations.

Reports also stated that Ranveer Singh responded through legal channels, after which discussions were initiated to resolve the dispute amicably. (IANS)
