JAINA Convention 2025 To Focus On Peace, Philosophy, Culture

CHICAGO, IL – The Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) is set to host its 23rd biennial Convention from July 3-6, here. Organized in collaboration with the Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago, the event will unite approximately 5,000 attendees from across the globe, fostering spiritual growth, cultural exchange, and community engagement under the theme, ‘Unity in Diversity: A Path to Peace.’

JAINA, representing 72 Jain Centers across the US and Canada, has long served as a pillar of Jain unity outside India. The 2025 Convention will feature inspiring lectures, interactive workshops, and cultural performances, all designed to celebrate the diversity of Jain traditions while reinforcing shared values of nonviolence, compassion, and harmony.

The event has already garnered significant enthusiasm, with over 4,500 individuals registering shortly after the launch. Convention Convenor Atul Shah and Co-Convenors Vipul Shah and JigneshJain anticipate an attendance exceeding 5,000 participants, a testament to the event’s importance within the global Jain community.

A key highlight of the convention will be its distinguished speakers, who will provide insights into spirituality, philanthropy, personal growth, and leadership. Among the notable figures scheduled to speak are:

Abhay Firodia, Chairman of Force Motors and Jaya Hind Industries, on the role of philanthropy in social progress, Dr. Gyanvatsal Swami from Akshardham, offering wisdom on spiritual living, Jessica Cox, the world’s first licensed armless aviator, sharing her journey of resilience and inspiration and Sagar Sheth, CEO of Roth, encouraging young professionals with insights on leadership and success.

There will also be spiritual discourses from renowned Jain scholars, including Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni, Saman Shrutprajnaji, Dr. Devendrakeerti Bhattaraka Swamiji, Sadhvi Shilapiji, and several disciples of Acharya Mahashraman.

Attendees can also enjoy workshops on Ahimsa, environmental consciousness, health and wellness, and youth development, participate in a quiz competition showcasing the depth of Jain philosophy and traditions, revel in cultural performances highlighting the richness of Jain heritage and traditions.

An important feature will beJain matrimonial activities for young adults, connecting like-minded individuals within the community.

A special focus of JAINA 2025 will be on youth engagement. With 475 members from Young Jain America and Young Jain Professionalsattending, the convention, through panel discussions, mentorship sessions, and social networking events, will serve as a platform to encourage them to embrace their heritage while shaping their professional and personal journeys.

Beyond intellectual and spiritual enrichment, the convention will also feature exhibitions showcasing Jain literature, art, and artifacts, providing attendees with a deeper appreciation of Jain heritage. A marketplace will offer products aligned with Jain values, including vegetarian and eco-friendly items.
