Kamal Haasan Says There Is No Jealousy Between Him And Rajinikanth

CHENNAI-Actor and filmmaker Kamal Haasan said there has never been jealousy between him and fellow actor Rajinikanth, while speaking about their long-standing relationship in the film industry.

During an interaction with the media, Haasan said that while the two actors have competed professionally over the years, they have never been jealous of each other.

A reporter referred to Rajinikanth’s recent remarks that he would have been jealous if actor-turned-politician Haasan had become Tamil Nadu Chief Minister instead of Vijay.

Interrupting the question, Haasan clarified that Rajinikanth had made the remark jokingly and said there had never been jealousy between them.

“We have never been jealous of each other, but we have competed with one another. We are the best sportsman you can find in Tamil Nadu. We are in the field of cinema. Even if we had played cricket, we would have been like this,” Haasan said.

Separately, Haasan recently met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and submitted a list of request aimed at supporting the state’s film industry. (IANS)
