Kash Patel And Girlfriend’s Age Gap Isn’t Unusual In Trump’s Circle

WASHINGTON, DC – Country music artist Alexis Wilkins is shrugging off questions about the 19-year age difference between her and her boyfriend, FBI Director Kash Patel.

The 26-year-old singer began dating Patel, now 45, in January 2023 after they met at a friend’s house party in Nashville. She currently divides her time between Tennessee, where she is building her music career, and Washington, D.C., where Patel is based.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Wilkins said her relationship is hardly unusual in political circles. “Plenty of people in this administration have age differences — it’s not exactly groundbreaking,” she said.  “There’s really no reason to justify something like that,” she told the media outlet.

There is a 24-year gap between President Donald Trump, 79, and First Lady Melania Trump, 55. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 27, is married to 59-year-old Nicholas Riccio.

The singer said she has had to deal with online speculation, including accusations that she is a “honeypot” — a term for someone romantically involved for ulterior motives.

“I’ve literally blocked the word from my Instagram comments,” she said to the Daily Mail, explaining that the label doesn’t fit. “I was dating Kash before he became FBI director. If this was some grand plan, it would have been a very long game.”
